If you are not entirely satisfied for any reason whatsoever with your decision to purchase your watch you may request to exchange/refund the item within 14 working days starting the day after receipt of your purchase, as defined by the UK Distance Selling Regulations (please see below for assistance in this regard).
You are entitled to return the item for a full refund or exchange in the following circumstances:
- If the item ordered is not the item delivered or if the item is faulty or damaged in any way when delivered, the watch's unique model number and its description as listed on your order confirmation and serial number will be used to confirm the item ordered.
- If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase we also offer a full no quibble refund or exhange subject to you contacting us within 14 working days of receipt of your item. You do not have to give any reason for cancellation, however a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.
- Refund/Exchange authorisations (for refund or exchange): In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations, a refund/exchange form needs to be completed and returned.
A phone call is not acceptable as a notification of cancellation of a contract. This form should be completed and returned with the goods. Goods that are to be returned should reach us within 7 working days of receipt of your returns form.
- The item should be returned with all the original packaging, labelling and documents, as supplied.
- Please note that you have a 'duty of care' to ensure that all returns and exchanges are in new, unused and unworn condition.
- A reverse transaction (refund) request may take 7-10 business days. However, depending on your financial institution, it may take up to 28 days for the credit to show on your account.
- The customer is liable for return postage costs unless this is agreed in some durable form by a Lingray Watches representative. We highly recommend you ship your watch prepaid and insured for the full purchase price against loss in transit via a trackable carrier, such as Royal Mail, to our UK returns centre.
- If you fail to return the goods, we will collect them, and we will charge you the direct cost of collection. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.
This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights — for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.
As the postage charges were free on your initial purchase due to our free delivery offer in the UK, there is an additional £6.00 delivery fee to pay to cover the cost of sending out your replacement/exchange watch. However, this charge is waived if the watch is being returned due to a warranty fault/repair.
Warranty Repairs
If you need to return your watch to be repaired under warranty, you may request a warranty repair form.
Please note that no watch manufacturer warrants bracelet or clasp repairs, or anything outside the movement of the watch, however we will do our utmost to assist if a fault should develop with a watch bracelet or clasp within the first three months of purchase. No bracelet/clasp repairs will be undertaken after this three months has expired. Any local jeweller should be able to assist you with such repairs after this time.
Battery Replacement
For quartz battery watches we will offer a free battery change up to 12 months from date of purchase. Any battery changes required after 12 months will be done at customers cost.
Watch Water Resistant Guide
The way the water resistant is stated on a watch is somewhat misleading. A watch with a water resistant rating of 30 meters doesn't mean you can take the watch under water up to 30 meters and expect it to still be water resistant. Water resistant rating of a watch is obtain through a laboratory test that test the watch's ability to withstand a static pressure for a short period of time at the stated depth. Actual water pressure on a watch during use under water is greater than the static pressure.
Different manufacturers have different recommendations on water resistance usage. In general they can summarized as follows:
- Water Resistant 30 Meters - Splash resistant (e.g. rain, washing hands, etc.)
- Water Resistant 50 Meters - Suitable for still water activities
- Water Resistant 100/200 Meters - Suitable for water sports
- Water Resistant 200+ Meters - Suitable for diving
Despite the manufacturers' recommendation, in practice, we see that it is best not to submerge a watch in water unless it has a water resistant rating of at least 100 meters. We do not recommend taking any watch with a leather band into water as it will cause deterioration to the band. If you plan on using your watch is the ocean (salt water), the watch should be thoroughly rinse off with fresh water after use. There are many other factors that can affect the water resistant of a watch including sudden temperature change (e.g. stepping into a sauna) and sudden pressure change (e.g. plunging into the water). It is important to remember that the water resistance of a watch will deteriorate over time as the gaskets that keep the water out aged. If you will be using your watch under water, then the water resistance of a watch should be tested each time you have a battery change or have service done on the watch.

Cancellations
Orders cancelled will still be subject to the refund and exchange policy, unless cancelled by 5pm on the date of the order, whereby all costs and charges will be refunded in full.
